Sinop - a town on a peninsula.
Kiedy planowałem trasę na kolejny dzień wzdłuż wybrzeża Morza Czarnego, moją uwagę przykuło miasto Sinop. Jest umieszczone na sporym półwyspie, do którego można dostać się jedynie wąskim przesmykiem. Panuje tu klimat kurortu, ale bez zbędnej uciążliwości. Jeżeli ktoś nie jest zainteresowany jedynie wypoczynkiem, znajdzie tu zabytki z 13 wieku. Przepiękny, kamienny meczet Alladyna wraz z kompleksem łaźni oraz madrasą, szkołą koraniczną. Twierdza strzegąca miasta pochodzi z 8 wieku p.n.e.
Miasto było w przeszłości zamieszkiwane przez Greków oraz Rzymian.
When I planned my route on the coast of the Black Sea my attention was captured by the town of Sinop. It's located on a peninsula, you can reach through a narrow isthmus. There's an ambience of a sea resort here however it's not overwhelming. If you're not attracted by the leisure only you can find here some historical treasures. A beautiful, made of stone Aladin mosque from 13th c. along with turkish bath and madrasa from the same period. The fortress guarding the city which origins reach 8 B.C. The town was inhabited previously by ancient Greeks and Romans.
